Heads Carolina, Tails California
I was out singing karaoke last night, which is definitely an unusual event for me these days. A big "Thank You!" to the boys who urged me to meet them out at their destination. It truly was one of those happy-go-lucky evenings; a small but energetic crowd kept the evening rolling right on by without even realizing how much time had really passed
This was the first time in at least a year that I managed to make it to the microphone for not only one song, but also a song fitting this particular time in my life. "Heads Carolina, Tails California" was my second pick. I hadn't even heard the song in quite some time, so belting out the words of parts of the song took on a bit more significance for me.
When I sat back down, I managed to convince a handsome man to flip a quarter, and what a fun coincidence that it turned up tails. Of course, I realize it was a 50/50 chance, but I couldn't resist this particular temptation with this particular individual as he had expressed earlier about how I'm moving to San Francisco.
It was truly a delightful evening all around. Despite my upcoming departure, I am finding both new and old ways to enjoy Indianapolis. There are of course automatic barriers that go up when some people hear about my moving plans. However, for those that are open to an amazing and intense adventure into life, let's enjoy every moment of it all while we are given the opportunity!
And you can Quote me on that. The Quotable Queer
